Kata’s place is perfect. Kata’s perfect. Everything is perfect. Kata’s apartment is located in the heart of Eger. Smoothest check-in and check-out ever. She even had people pick us up in the train station directly to the apartment. Everything you need, Kata’s place has it. You can see she put thoughts and love in the apartment. She helped us book a wine tasting session, restaurants. She is amazing!

Gorgeous, spacious, tastefully furnished 1BR with balcony in the middle of Eger old town, minutes from restaurants, cafe, grocery and historic sights. Kata got us weekly parking at a nearby garage which was a big plus. Easy to communicate, quick and very flexible. What is there not to like… Six stars!!!

Kata’s flat is a gem in the heart of Eger. Literally within 1 minute’s walk to the Dobo Istvan Square, you can walk to all scenic spots from the flat – even to the Valley of the Beautiful Woman by foot. The flat is well maintained and equipped with all the living necessities. Very quiet at night to insure a restful sleep. Kata is also a great host with abundant knowledge about Hungarian wines. Thanks to her we enjoyed many different local wines. Highly recommended to travelers looking for “Egri lifestyle”

A lovely, homely apartment in the middle of Eger. We enjoyed breakfast in the kitchen and afternoon sunshine drinks on the balcony, so much space in this apartment. The bed was so comfortable, we slept really well. The main square is only 2 minutes away so close to many good restaurants. Kata’s place really was a home from home and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

About me

In March 2014, I launched the Wine&Go online wine shop, which, since 2023, has continued in its current form as Wine&Go Studio, a boutique accommodation in the heart of Eger. For over 20 years, I have been designing websites while continuously learning about and tasting wines. I travel regularly, organize and host wine dinners, exciting events, pop-up and walk-around tastings, all in the company of wonderful people. If you want to truly enjoy your time in Eger—have a memorable wine experience, explore the city with a local guide, enjoy great food, hike in the surrounding area, find the best coffee, sourdough bread, or the finest market stalls—I’d be happy to help. I also host private wine tastings in unique locations, available by prior arrangement.

About Wine&Go Studio

I designed Wine&Go Studio for solo travelers, couples, and families with young children—hopefully, you’ll get to experience it one day too!

For over 25 years, I’ve been traveling the world, exploring diverse destinations. Ever since platforms like Couchsurfing and Airbnb emerged, I’ve avoided spending my days and nights in dull hotels, confined with crowds of guests. I’ve become almost addicted to finding and staying in unique accommodations—whether in Iceland, Portugal, Morocco, Mykonos, or Sicily.

Drawing on these experiences, I created Wine&Go Studio Eger, designed to meet a variety of comfort and functional needs. Guests can choose from diverse breakfast options, and I also offer exclusive discounts on carefully selected experiences and restaurants in and around Eger.

Wine&Go Studio requires a minimum stay of two nights, but it’s also fully equipped for longer stays. You’ll find a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, iron, wine glasses, corkscrew, Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, smart TV, and a fully stocked kitchen. If you need to work remotely, the accommodation is ideal, with high-speed Wi-Fi and multiple comfortable workspaces.

Since Wine&Go Studio is located in the heart of Eger, I recommend exploring the city on foot or by bike!
